RoundUp is one of the worlds biggest weedkiller brands. I've worked on the RoundUp International websites for years, in this time they have gone through a number of rebuilds and changes to their architecture. With each country having different timelines and rollouts. Originially the sites were all on .NET frameworkusing immediacyCMS to manage content. This was an outdated system even when I began working on their websites in 2011.
The Next version we built was a PHP MVC version using the CodeIgniter framework and PyroCMS. It was an early example of an MVC framework for PHP which was still in it's infancy at the time and a precursor for popular PHP MVC frameworks today such as Laravel (which PyroCMS now uses). Some of the countries are not upgrading to our latest version of the site, so this version is still available on some countries such as the Czech site.
The Latest rebuild of the site is fully built on Javascript, using a Node.js powered static site generator (SSG). It was great to work on a project with a very modern JAMstack architecture.
